Robot Application Programmer (all genders)

Hamburg
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your Role

Freshly cooked food. Everywhere. All the time.

With our robots, we’re transforming the way the world cooks and enjoys food. Through technology that empowers the foodservice industry, automates fresh meal preparation, and elevates culinary quality to a new, scalable level. Accessible to everyone. Everywhere. Anytime. We give our all to make this happen – across every level, team and function.

As a Robot Application Programmer, you make sure our cooking robots run precisely, efficiently, and reliably. You program and optimize robot trajectories, develop robust solutions for smooth commissioning, and act as the central point of contact for all robot-specific challenges.

These are the tasks you will be responsible for:

  • Robot Programming & Trajectory Optimization: You program and fine-tune robot trajectories to keep our production processes efficient, stable, and reproducible.
  • Scalable Set-up Solutions: You develop robust solutions that empower our set-up team to commission robots independently and error-free – no guesswork, no bottlenecks.
  • Go-To Robotics Expert: You're the first point of contact for all robot-specific challenges. You identify, troubleshoot, and sustainably resolve issues directly on the system – both in the field and in production.
  • Feature Development & Optimization: You test and implement new features and continuously improve existing ones to push our robots to the next level.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: You work hand in hand with adjacent teams to ensure smooth commissioning and seamless production workflows.

Your profile

You’re passionate about innovative technologies, excited about the role, and ready to help us revolutionize the worlds of tech and culinary even further? Let’s get cooking!

These are the qualities helping you thrive in this role:

  • Solid Technical Foundation: You've completed technical training plus a further qualification as a technician or master craftsman – ideally with a focus on automation or mechatronics – or bring a comparable background.
  • Proven Robotics Experience: You bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience programming industrial robots (e.g., KUKA, FANUC) and working with relevant simulation software – you've already proven yourself in hands-on robotics projects.
  • Process Optimization Know-How: You know how to optimize robot processes and cut cycle times – speed and stability are what you optimize for.
  • Coding & Development Basics: You bring solid programming fundamentals and concepts, ideally in Python or C++. You're also familiar with versioning and the software development lifecycle (Git experience is a plus).
  • Language Skills: You communicate confidently in English (spoken and written) – for clear communication across distributed teams.
  • Sharp & Structured: You grasp new topics quickly, work in a structured way, and bring a strong technical understanding to the table.
